Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actor, performer, and songwriter for many years. Her mother was her primary caregiver in the USA, where she faced numerous racial slurs that caused her to feel as a non-person. After entering a ninth-grade school audition where she was praised for her singing, she started to build confidence. It not only increased her confidence but her dreams transformed. In 1992 she graduated with her degree from New York's Julliard School. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was called You've Got Mail. In the Broadway first production of Spamalot she portrayed The Lady of The Lake and was awarded the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. The recognition grew even more when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. As a well-known singer, she has also released both a song and a play. She's also an activist who fights to protect LGBT rights.
